Windshield tinting

Hello,

New user (and owner) here. I live in Florida where it is very sunny and have been interested in getting a very light tint on the front windshield. Legalities aside, the tint shop that would do the work warned me that tinting windshields on new cars can cause problems with some sensors and camera functionality. The tint guy said it only affected some new cars but didn’t know about the 2019 XC90 specifically.

Has anyone here tried tinting the front windshield? What we’re the results?

2 years without issues. I choose the clear (blue) 60% for the windshield this last go round.
Do not use metallic film.
I'm going to 45%-50% next time....seems I have to replace the windshield yearly.
