Hi:
We are shopping for a used 2022-up XC90 and want the "factory" tow package.
Our local dealer salesperson says that there is no difference between adding the factory swing-away hitch receiver (and associated programming, wiring, etc.) at the dealer, and having a factory-installed hitch. Is that accuarate?
Most brands of cars make other changes with a tow package, such as transmission cooler, brakes, and sometimes even suspension - so installing a hitch does not = tow package on those vehicles.
Volvo's website was no help here. Can anyone help - particularly with any [credible] references cited?
