hello guys
i am a newbie ,just bought an xc90 2006 may 30th
it needed an engine ,luckily i found a great engine from a breaker ,but guys putting it in dropped it and the auto box
hit the floor -didnt look like any damage (wrong ! ) there was a hairline crack in transmission case .its the one you cannot take the cover off (tried liquid metal etc etc )and it squirts fluid out of crack.
i am looking for a new trans on ebay ,but there are lots of variations and i am baffled .
the data check on internet shows for my car chassis number YV1CZ714661306547
the datacard for the gearbox shows AW42/AW50-42/AW30/AW50
which has me confused - the engine code shows as D5244T4 and D20R4 2.0L
been advised it is the later version of trans for that year in 2006
if anyone can help that would be fantastic i can get back on the road
(couldnt go back at the guys as it was an accident by friend doing a free job )
